Paul Ryll is a former Marine and “Oscar Mike” is military speak for “On the Move.” The app named Oscar Mike Moble Appraisal (OMMA) will be launched in September in November. It is designed to complement and diversity the traditional appraisal business.

Residential appraiser to launch new app

An entrepreneur, certified residential appraiser, and former U.S. Marine, Greenville-based Paul Ryll is the co-founder of Oscar Mike Mobile Appraisals and is currently developing an innovative app, Oscar Mike Mobile Appraisals (OMMA). The app is designed to allow data to be delivered more quickly than traditional appraisals while lowering the cost of home appraisals for end users. Each individual appraisal will be reviewed and verified by a licensed or certified residential appraiser within the OMMA network. OMMA will guide end users through the appraisal process via an easy-to-follow platform, then send data and images to a network of appraisers. The product is supported by CubiCasa, a global leader in automated floor plans.

According to Ryll, “The residential appraisal industry continues to face challenges due to high transaction volumes, which comes in addition to longstanding concerns around data collection, cost and risk assumption. OMMA delivers a new solution to the industry at a time when it is most needed. We look forward to introducing this product as a positive disruptor that will benefit appraisers, realtors, and lenders while allowing end users to more seamlessly and cost-effectively complete the home appraisal process.”

The app will officially launch from the 2021 Valuation Expo scheduled for September 7 to 9 in Las Vegas. For more information, visit www.ommappraisals.com.
